My ramen dinner set is among a diverse array of works by local & regional artists featured in this year’s silent auction at the Pence Gallery, located at 212 D Street in Davis. The pieces in this set are made of red stoneware glazed in a special mottled blue glaze that reacts with the iron in the clay to create a deep, variegated surface color; they are microwave safe and dishwasher safe. The silent auction runs from Sept. 1-15 and you can bid any time during the Pence’s open hours, Tues.-Sun. 11:30-5. This is a great way to support the mission & programs of this wonderful nonprofit.
